Residual data and stored information on your output devices can be a target for nefarious means. Select Kyocera EcoPro Printers can be configured with an optional Data Security Kit (DSK) that overwrites (up to 3 times) the data stored on a device, protecting the confidentiality of your business information.
In today's competitive business environment, companies are becoming increasingly reliant on streamlining the document creation, printing, and distribution workflow processes, and increasing the productivity of their business work force.
Along with this increase in document management efficiency, an entirely new set of requirements has emerged; requirements related to protecting sensitive materials from unauthorized internal and external distribution. Because pages that are printed and stored on a device leave a 'digital footprint' in the form of a latent image on the system's hard disk drive, these security requirements present a difficult challenge for business.
To meet this challenge, Kyocera developed Data Security Kits for select EcoPro Printers. These Data Security Kits offers a powerful solution for meeting the privacy demands of today's digital office environments by overwriting the information stored on a hard drive at select intervals. This prevents unauthorized users from gaining access to confidential information retained in the printer's internal memory, thereby reducing the threat of a security breach.
EcoPro Advantage
The power of the Kyocera Data Security Kit for your EcoPro Printer is the ability to automatically erase data stored on a device's hard drive. This is accomplished in either of two ways:
Once-overwrite Method
This method over-writes the entire hard drive during the initial disk formatting process.
Three-time Overwrite Method (Default)
The preferred security choice when the highest level of data protection is required. This method encompasses more comprehensive 3-phase data deletion process.
Manual Erase Method
The Data Security Kit helps to secure confidential information when a device is moved internally, retired or resold by providing a manual erase method capability. This feature ensures that system and/or program management data relating to usage is rendered unrecoverable by unauthorized third parties.
Password Protection
Password control ensures that the operation and configuration of the Data Security Kit is always protected from unauthorized user access.
Supported Models:
